Announcing our Series A

We’re very excited to announce Convex’s $26M series A financing led by Andreessen Horowitz. General Partner Martin Casado is joining the Convex board.

We’ve been fortunate to have had Martin involved in Convex as an angel investor and advisor since the early days of the company. He’s been an enthusiastic supporter of our vision of empowering developers everywhere to build sophisticated, dynamic, globally-stateful apps without any backend engineering.

We’re also thrilled to have amazing new angels in the round, including: Nat Friedman, former CEO of GitHub; Ram Shriram, Alphabet board member; and Michael Ovitz, founder of Creative Artists Agency. In addition, we’re proud to announce that Netlify has made an investment in Convex as part of their Jamstack Innovation Fund.

So what’s next? For one, we’re tripling the size of our team this year. So if you’re passionate about reinventing how the web is made, we’d love you to join us. In addition, we’ll be opening up our beta to more and more developers over the next few weeks. If you want to try out the absolute easiest and fastest way to build dynamic web apps, join our wait list!

About Convex

Convex is the global state management platform for web developers.

Convex makes it dead-simple to store your app's shared state and sync it everywhere. As a developer, you interact with your shared state using JavaScript or TypeScript functions and bind that state to your reactive app.

To see Convex in action, take a look at this recent Netlify blog post on adding dynamism to a static site, check out this short video on building reactive apps on Convex, or recap a recent live stream with Vercel’s Lee Robinson and Convex co-founder Sujay Jayakar.
